Tarqa AI Academy is operated by Tarqa AI Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("Tarqa AI", "we", "us"), a company registered in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. This policy describes how we handle personal data when you use academy.tarqaai.com and related services.

2. Data We Collect

Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account or join our wishlist.

Payment information: Billing details and transaction records when you purchase a paid course. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors — we do not store your full card details.

Learning data: Course progress, assessment scores, exam results, and certification records.

Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, browser type, device type, and IP address. This is collected through essential cookies and server logs.

Communication data: Emails you send to us and support requests.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide the Academy services: account management, course delivery, progress tracking, certification issuance, and credential verification.

To process payments and issue invoices for paid courses.

To communicate with you: enrollment confirmations, course updates, certification notifications, and (if opted-in) launch announcements.

To improve the platform: analyzing aggregate usage patterns to improve course content and user experience.

To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Credential Verification

When you earn a certification, the following information is made publicly verifiable at academy.tarqaai.com/verify: your name, credential title, credential ID, and issue date. This is a core feature of our verifiable credentials system.

If you wish to remove your credential from public verification, contact us at hello@tarqaai.com. Note that this will invalidate the credential's verifiability.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — these are required for the platform to function (session management, authentication, preferences).

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data with: (a) payment processors to complete transactions; (b) proctoring service providers for AI Auditor examinations; (c) your employer if you are enrolled through an Enterprise plan (limited to enrollment status and certification results); (d) law enforcement when required by Indian law.

All third-party service providers are bound by data processing agreements and may only use your data for the specific purposes described above.

7. Data Retention

Account and learning data: Retained for as long as your account is active, plus 3 years after deletion for certification verification purposes.

Payment records: Retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax law.

Wishlist email addresses: Retained until you unsubscribe or the launch campaign ends.

Server logs and usage data: Retained for 90 days.

8. Your Rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements and credential verification obligations).

Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for optional data processing (e.g., marketing communications) at any time.
